ADRIAN — Adrian Mayor Angie Heath says there are no specific plans yet for the Winter Street property recently acquired by the city.
The site, identified as Parcel One in the city’s purchase agreement, includes a strip of land that previously interrupted the development footprint for Courthouse Commons. The mayor confirmed that the city already owned the land on both sides of the parcel and needed the strip to complete the block.
Heath clarified that the Planning Commission has not discussed future uses for the property at this time.
In separate comments, the mayor said the Planning Commission will vote Tuesday on whether to send the updated zoning ordinance to the City Commission for final approval. The commission has incorporated public feedback, and simplified fact sheets are in development to help residents understand the proposed changes.
