“And in the end, it’s not the years in your life that count. It’s the life in your years.” Abraham Lincoln.

Patrick Evan Holleran, age 73, of Tecumseh, MI, passed away after a two year battle with leukemia on Sunday, August 3, 2025, at the Evangelical Home in Saline, MI. He was born on May 15, 1952, in Elgin, IL, the son of the late John Frederick and Ferne Regina (Schultz) Holleran.

Patrick proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, and he went on to a career as an aircraft mechanic working for Southern Airways, Republic Airlines, Northwest Airlines and finally retiring from Delta Airlines in 2011. In addition to being a topnotch aircraft mechanic, Patrick also loved working on cars. He looked forward to spending time in his yard and especially with his dog, Hank. His greatest joy, though, was being with his grandchildren and attending their events.

Patrick is survived by his daughters, Elissa (Jeff) Weidmayer of Ann Arbor, MI, and Liane (Adam) Kurowicki of Britton, MI; seven grandchildren, Ellie Pinson, Jack, Lia and Fern Kurowicki and Grace, Evan, and Catherine Weidmayer; and his three brothers, Tom Holleran of Pemberville, OH, Jeffrey (Jodi Huber) Holleran of San Jose, CA, and Bill (Nancy) Holleran of Walbridge, OH.

In addition to his parents, Patrick was preceded in death by his brother, David Holleran.

At his request, cremation has taken place. Visitation for Patrick will take place at the Tecumseh Chapel of Handler Funeral Homes on Thursday, August 7, 2025, from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm. A memorial service at 4:00 pm, preceded by an hour of visitation, will be held on Friday, August 8, 2025 at St. Thomas Lutheran Church in Ann Arbor, MI, with Reverand Coleman Geraci officiating. Inurnment and military honors will follow at St. Thomas Lutheran Church Cemetery. Memorial contributions in honor of Patrick may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at the Evangelical Home and to Devin Morgan for their exceptional care
