ADRIAN — Mead and Hunt have secured avigation easements from 10 property owners as part of Phase One of the Lenawee County Airport’s tree removal project.
More negotiations are still underway, and the tree clearing is expected to begin either this fall or next, depending on final closings.
The easements are needed to meet FAA safety standards and maintain long-term operational clearance for aircraft.
Commissioners were briefed during this month’s Airport Commission meeting and noted the progress in the project’s financial reports.
