Brian Dennis Chenoweth, age 74, of Tipton, MI, passed away on Saturday, August, 2, 2025. He was born on February 21, 1951 in Ann Arbor, MI, the son of the late Rex Warren and Janet Lillian (Gouin) Chenoweth. On September 25, 1999, in Palmyra, MI, he was joined in marriage with Charlotte Kay Bishop Smith and they enjoyed over twenty-five years together.
Brian loved life and his family. He was a proud retiree of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 252, and spent the majority of his career working alongside his brothers and sisters in Ann Arbor, a town that he cherished.
He also loved building. The home that he and his wife, Char, built was a great source of pride and joy for him. Sitting on the back deck of their cabin with his dog Abby and watching the deer in the fields was always time well spent.
He loved watching his grandchildren doing the things they loved. He never missed an opportunity to attend one of their sporting events, theater productions, or concerts.
Most of all he loved taking the backroads on a sunny day while listening to his favorite music with the windows down. He and his family took numerous road trips across the country, making sure to stop at every scenic overlook on the way.
Brian is preceded in death by his parents, Rex and Janet Chenoweth; his sister Suzanne Chenoweth; and his step-son, Errol Smith.
He will be lovingly remembered always by his wife Charlotte Chenoweth; his children, Dan (Amy) Chenoweth, Doug (Kim) Chenoweth, and Katie (Andy) Stanley; his step-daughter Amanda Crawford; and his brothers, Alan Chenoweth and Ted Chenoweth; as well as his grandchildren, Ben, Bo, Elle, Rex, Drew, Grant, Maggie, Tess, Jaslon, and Kaia.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association and/or Hospice of Lenawee.
At his request cremation has taken place with a private family service to be held.
