LENAWEE CO. — Lenawee County is launching a new recycling pilot program and is now accepting proposals for dumpster rental and collection services.
The 9-month pilot will place recycling dumpsters in Britton, Onsted, and Hudson, with a planned start date of October 1.
Licensed haulers can apply to provide either cardboard-only or mixed-recyclables service, which includes plastics, paper, and aluminum. Each site will use a 6-yard front-load dumpster, and collections are expected twice per week.
Proposals must include pricing, service schedules, and disposal plans. The county will provide custom lids to help prevent contamination.
All proposals are due by August 30 and will be reviewed by the Materials Management Planning Committee on September 3.
