BLISSFIELD — The Blissfield Village Council will hold two public hearings in August to consider repealing and amending a series of local ordinances.
On Monday, August 11, the council will review proposals to repeal ordinances related to the Library Board’s term limits and rules for non-authorized persons on school property.
A second hearing will take place Monday, August 25, focused on a major overhaul of building and zoning regulations. The council will consider repealing over a dozen outdated chapters, including those related to building codes, permits, plumbing, electrical, and energy standards. A new ordinance amending Chapter 172, covering buildings and building regulations, is also up for discussion.
Both meetings begin at 6 p.m. at Village Hall, located at 130 South Lane Street in Blissfield.
Draft copies of the proposed changes are available at the Village Office or online at blissfieldmichigan.gov. Comments can also be submitted by mail or in person.
