ADRIAN — The Adrian Shakespeare Company presents its second annual summer production at Trestle Park, this time staging Much Ado About Nothing, set in the 1970s and filled with music, comedy, and dancing.

Performances run Thursday, July 31, through Sunday, August 3. Evening shows begin at 6:30 p.m., with a Sunday matinee at 2:30.

Director Stephen Kersey calls the play “the original rom-com,” featuring romance, intrigue, and bumbling police officers who save the day. He’s also adapted the script for clarity while retaining Shakespeare’s original dialogue.

The show takes place outdoors on the riverfront stage at Trestle Park in downtown Adrian. Accessible parking and seating are available via the Grand Street entrance.
