MONROE — Hidden Lake Gardens has launched a new outdoor Story Walk, now open daily through October 31.
The family-friendly trail combines reading with exploration, featuring the children’s book Sip, Pick, and Pack by Michigan author Polly Cheney. As visitors walk the 0.4-mile path, they’ll find the story displayed page by page along the route.
The trail begins near the picnic area west of the Conservatory and offers a natural woodland setting filled with hills and turns. Please note that it is not a stroller or wheelchair-accessible.
Guests are advised to wear appropriate shoes and watch for posted caution signs about poison ivy and ticks.
The featured book is also available in the Daffodil Gift Shop, open Tuesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Hidden Lake Gardens invites families to enjoy this unique way to connect with nature and literacy all in one visit.
