ADRIAN — The Adrian City Commission has scheduled a public hearing to consider comments regarding a proposed franchise agreement between the city and Citizens Gas Fuel Company.
The terms of the agreement would allow Citizens Gas to use highways, streets, alleys and other public places in the city to build and service gas mains and pipes.
This ordinance, if approved by the Commission, would be subject to a public vote in November.
It would serve as a replacement for a previous ordinance adopted in 1995.
A proposed ordinance reflecting the franchise agreement that maybe subject to a public vote is available for review at City Hall, and can also be viewed online at Adrian City dot com.
The hearing will take place at the Commission’s next regular meeting, which starts at 6 PM in the City Chambers building on East Maumee Street in Downtown Adrian.
