ADRIAN — Multiple fire departments responded to a major house fire on Oakwood Street in Adrian Tuesday afternoon.
The fire was reported shortly after 4 PM in the 600 block, directly across from Oakwood Cemetery. When crews arrived, the home was fully engulfed in flames.
Firefighters from Adrian and Madison worked together to contain the blaze. During the response, portions of Oakwood Street and Siena Heights Drive were closed to traffic.
Witnesses say all occupants inside the home at the time of the fire were able to escape safely.
Crews deployed thermal drone technology to monitor hot zones — a tactic also used during the downtown Adrian fire earlier this year.
No official word yet on the cause. Further updates are expected pending confirmation from the Adrian Fire Department.
