Tecumseh Shooting Suspect Charged with 6 Felonies

ADRIAN — A suspect has been formally charged in connection with the June 5 Tecumseh shooting that left one person hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. The 26-year-old defendant, Donald Christopher Hawkins Jr., now faces six felony charges in the 2A District Court.

According to the Tecumseh Police Department, the shooting occurred in the Standish Dam area near Burt Street. Officers initially responded to reports near North Union Street but later confirmed the incident location through a follow-up investigation. The first suspect, a 31-year-old Tecumseh man, Michael Anthony Isaac, was arrested on June 5. Hawkins, also a Tecumseh resident, was taken into custody on June 10.

Court records show that Hawkins was arraigned on June 13 and remains held on a $60,000 cash or surety bond. His case (filed under Case ID 2025-251167-FY) is being presided over by Judge Todd Michael Morgan. A probable cause conference is currently scheduled for July 23.

Both suspects are currently lodged at the Lenawee County Jail. The police investigation remains active.
