ADRIAN — The Lenawee County Board of Health reviewed and approved board of health spending for May and June 2025 during its regular meeting on July 16. The reports included multiple operational updates and vendor corrections.
The accounts payable review is a routine item in the board’s monthly agenda. Health department administrators provided clarification on vendor payments and recent upgrades to internal systems.
Among the notable items, staff identified a billing issue involving LRS Recycling, which had overcharged the department despite a fixed-rate contract. The overbilling was resolved prior to the meeting.
Expenses also included staff attendance at emergency preparedness and recycling conferences, as well as dumpster rentals used to dispose of outdated furniture.
The board voted unanimously to accept the reports as presented.
The next accounts payable review is expected in August and will include early Q3 activity and grant-funded infrastructure costs.
