Dennis Wayne Pinter, age 74, of Adrian, died Tuesday morning, July 15, 2025, surrounded by family at his home while under the care of Hospice of Lenawee. Born May 27, 1951, in Ypsilanti, one of eight children from the union of the late Andrew J. and Esther (Kragenbrink) Pinter.
Dennis grew up in Tecumseh where he attended school. For over 35 years, he constructed numerous area homes as a self-employed contractor for his business, Pinter Construction.
On November 22, 1992, Dennis married the love of his life, Gail Marie Hedman, in Toledo, Ohio. They shared a happy 32 years together as husband and wife.
Dennis was a current member of the American Legion Post 34 in Tecumseh. In earlier years, he belonged to the Jaycees, a Jeep club, and a pool league. A classic car enthusiast, he enjoyed attending classic car shows where he often showed off his own ’68 Buick LeSabre convertible. One of his greatest joys was playing games with his family and friends, especially marbles and cards. In his later years he enjoyed vacations to Florida as well as perfecting the art of yardwork, mowing and watering his 3.5 acre lawn that he adorned with beautiful flower gardens. His sarcastic sense of humor and loving presence were enjoyed by everyone he encountered; he will be sorely missed.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Gail, are four children, Timothy Pinter of Adiran, Michelle (Todd) Treloar of Blissfield, Dennis Wayne Pinter, Jr. of Mesa, AZ, and Corey (Kara) Pinter of Adrian; siblings, Paul Pinter of Adrian, Esther Lorraine Beach of Cement City, MI, Judy LaVoy of Northport, FL, and Betty (Jim) Craig of Britton; special sister-in-law and caregiver, Mary Weiss of Adrian; grandchildren, Tyler (Renee) Cassandra (Kelby), Kaylee (Jaccob), Bella, Kierra, and Brayden; and two great-grandchildren, Gigi and David.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in his death by a son, Robby Wayne Pinter; a grandson, Coty Pinter; a brother, Donald Pinter; and two sisters, Linda Pinter and Cindy Fultz;
The family will receive friends for visitation at the Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Tecumseh, on Saturday, July 19, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral service begins at Noon. Pastor William Lass with Britton United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will follow in Lenawee County Memorial Gardens in Tecumseh.
