ONSTED — Ahimsa Safe Haven will host a free Summer Social on Saturday, August 2nd from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at their open barn, located across the street from the sanctuary at 9740 Shepherd Road in Onsted.
The family-friendly event invites the public to meet rescued animals and learn about sanctuary life. Visitors can enjoy live music, kids’ activities, refreshments—including adult beverages—and educational exhibits.
Organizers say it’s a chance to experience the day-to-day work behind caring for pigs, cats, birds, fish, and other rescued animals.
Founder Cari Clift says the event is open to all—whether you’re a long-time supporter or simply curious about the sanctuary’s mission. RSVPs are encouraged but not required.
