
ADRIAN — A new workshop titled A Practical Guide to Healthy Aging will be held Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at Weber Retreat and Conference Center in Adrian. The event will explore the connection between physical activity, nutrition, cognition, and mindfulness.
The session runs from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and is available both in person and via livestream. It is led by Sisters Mariane Fahlman, OP, and Esther Kennedy, OP. The workshop offers strategies to reduce stress, improve brain health, and enhance overall well-being as people age.
Sister Mariane is a Professor at Wayne State University and focuses on physical function and cognitive health in older adults. Sister Esther is a retreat leader and spiritual director known for monthly mindfulness workshops at the Weber Center.

The Weber Center is located on the campus of the Adrian Dominican Sisters Motherhouse. Visitors should enter from East Siena Heights Drive between Adrian Rea Literacy Center and the solar-covered carport.
