LENAWEE CO. — Lenawee County is investing in its workforce with the approval of a tuition reimbursement request for a county employee pursuing a graduate degree.
The reimbursement totals just over $1,600 and covers two classes at $834 each. The employee already holds a bachelor’s degree and is working toward a master’s in a field directly related to their current position.
Officials noted that the request met all program criteria and was reviewed as part of the county’s professional development initiative.
The tuition program is designed to support continued education and training among county staff, with the goal of strengthening public services and retaining skilled workers.
While the amount is modest, the move reflects an ongoing commitment to transparency and internal talent development.
The reimbursement was approved unanimously as part of the county’s regular consent agenda.
