Barbara Jean Fairbanks, age 95, of Tecumseh, Mi, passed away on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at Lynwood Manor, in Adrian, Mi. She was born on September 11, 1929, in Ypsilanti, MI, the daughter of the late Edward and Frances (Ruddick) Dumbach. Barbara was joined in marriage with Dale Carpenter, and after his death, Frank Douglas Fairbanks.
Barabra was employed as a shipping clerk at Tecumseh Products for thirty-one years. She loved to paint pictures and ceramics.
Barbara is survived by her children, Frances (Terry), Teresa, and Dale (Darlene); three grandchildren; and her brother-in-law, Dorr (Sally). In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her husbands, Dale Carpenter and Douglas Fairbanks; her grandson, Jeremy Glascock; and her brother, Thomas Dumbach.
A private graveside service will be held at Brookside Cemetery in Tecumseh, MI and interment will follow. Arrangements are under the care of the Tecumseh Chapel of Handler Funeral Homes.
