ADRIAN — The Lenawee County Department of Veterans Affairs will be closed on Wednesday, July 23, as staff will be on site for Veterans Day at the Lenawee County Fair.

All veterans and active-duty military members are invited to attend. Admission to the fair is free for veterans, active military, and their significant others.

A special recognition program and complimentary luncheon will be held at the bandshell from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Sons of the Tecumseh American Legion, led by Head Cook Troy Vance, will prepare the free meal, which will feature brats, hot dogs, chips, and water.

The event is presented by AMVETS Post 1957, with support from local businesses and organizations.

Veterans are encouraged to come out and enjoy the festivities as the community honors their service.
