ADRIAN — Consumers Energy has announced that its direct payment office in Adrian will permanently close on September 1, 2025. The last day of in-person payment services at the Adrian location will be August 29.
The company is encouraging customers to use alternative, fee-free payment options going forward. These include setting up auto-pay, making one-time payments on the Consumers Energy website, or using the mobile app. Customers can securely save their banking information for faster payments in the future.
Consumers Energy said these online and mobile options provide a convenient, safe way to manage utility payments without service fees.
