ADRIAN — Adrian College has issued a statement following Siena Heights University’s announcement that it will close after the 2026 academic year.
Adrian College President Jeffrey Docking said the news represents a significant loss for the City of Adrian, Lenawee County, and the broader community.
Docking said Adrian College extends its support to Siena Heights students, faculty, staff, alumni, and families impacted by the decision.
The two schools have partnered on local initiatives for years, and Docking said Adrian College stands ready to work with Siena Heights leadership to explore ways to assist during this transition.
He emphasized that community unity will be essential moving forward.
