Darrel Duane Anderson, age 93, of Spring Arbor, MI, formerly of Palmetto, FL and Britton, MI, died on June 27, 2025 at Henry Ford Hospital , Jackson, MI.
He was born May 1, 1932 in Hanover Township, Michigan the son of Leon and Marian (Hatch) Anderson. On February 6, 1955, he married Phylis Carpenter in Adrian, MI. She preceded him in death on January 1, 2019.
Darrel served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He was retired from Ford Motor Company.
He is survived by two sons, Warren (Renee) Anderson of Dunnellon, FL, and Douglas (Deborah) Anderson of Brooklyn, MI, and daughter, Linda (David) Walz of Toledo, OH; 12 grandchildren, several great & great-great grandchildren; brother, Jerry Anderson of Adrian, MI; sisters, Karen Kraught of Lynden, WA, Claudia Evans of Milwaukee, WI, and Carol Martinez of Adrian, MI.
In addition to his wife Phylis; he was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon; brothers, Richard, William, Phillip, and Larry; and sisters, Katherine, Beverly, Ruth Ann, and Debbie.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at Purse & Son Funeral Home, Tecumseh, Michigan. Military honors will also take place performed by the United States Air Force Honor Guard, Wright-Patterson AFB. Cremation will follow after the service. Final resting place of Darrel’s cremains will be at Lenawee Hills Memorial Garden, with a private family burial taking place at a later date.
Visitation will also take place Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at Purse & Son Funeral, Tecumseh from 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral service.
