Wauseon McDonald’s Employee Earns Degree Through Archways Program

ADRIAN — A local McDonald’s employee is being honored for completing his college degree through McDonald’s Archways to Opportunity program.

Jacob Mock, who works at the Wauseon McDonald’s, graduated from Colorado Technical University with a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology.

A graduation celebration was held Thursday, June 26, at 10 a.m. at the Wauseon McDonald’s on North Shoop Avenue.

The Archways to Opportunity program offers free educational support for McDonald’s employees. It includes high school diploma programs, English language courses, and tuition assistance for college degrees.

The program has helped more than 90,000 McDonald’s employees nationwide since it started 10 years ago.

Jacob’s story is part of McDonald’s ongoing effort to help employees pursue their education and advance their careers.
