Kim Edward Johnson, age 67, of Manitou Beach, Michigan, passed away on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at the Hospice of Lenawee Home.

Kim’s career as a journeyman had him working in machine repair for over 30 years. He worked at Pilot Industries in Manchester, LeMatic in Jackson and most recently at Modern Tube in Jackson. He was fortunate to have great co-workers who became lifelong friends. Kim liked to be outdoors and enjoyed hunting, camping and fishing. He was a master and took great pride in making a bonfire for any occasion. Kim shared his life with his partner of over 25 years, Dawn Daisher. Together they experienced many camping adventures and transitioned from tents to a more relaxed “camper getaway”.
In addition to Dawn, Kim is survived by his favorite sister, Juva Johnson; nephew, Ethan (Catie) Johnson, great-nephew, Zayne Johnson; Dawn’s children, Amanda (Eric) Siwecki, Matthew (Kalli ) Hensley and Mitchell Lauer; and many wonderful friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; uncle, Bruce Brown and many beloved aunts and uncles.
Following Kim’s wishes cremation will take place with no services at this time.
