
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Keith Donald Richards, who left this world peacefully on June 23, 2025. Born on August 4th, 1946 in Ann Arbor, MI. He grew up in Milan MI, and graduated from Lincoln Consolidated High School in 1964. Keith lived a life full of laughter, adventure, and love. He had a unique gift of making all feel welcomed and part of his family. To know Keith was to experience true sense of humor, spirit of adventure, pursuit of excitement, hard work, knowledge of being able to fix or repair anything, and unwavering love and friendship that touched everyone lucky enough to cross his path. With Keith you were not just a friend but truly part of the family. He will be remembered for passion for motorsports, and living life in the moment, whether it be a new project that peaked his interest, or playing pranks and telling jokes, he taught us the value of family and the importance of the beauty of life’s simple joys. Keith is survived by his Mother Eileen Richards, Siblings Janice and Ronald Richards, Children Gary (Teri) Richards, Lisa (Robert) Chester, Kevin (Bobby) Richards, Grandchildren Evelyn, Drew, Cheyenne, Brandon, Justin, Keith, and McKenzie, Great grandchildren Lilliana, Rayce, Carter, Calan, and Kymbree and his nieces and nephews , all of whom carry forward his legacy of love. He was preceded in death by his wife of nearly 30 Years Madonna (Sissy) and Father Jack Richards. Though he is no longer physically with us, his spirit will forever live on in our hearts, our stories, and the way we treat one another. A service for Keith will be held 10:00 AM Thursday July 3, 2025 at Saint Johns Cemetery, 1400 N. River Street, Ypsilanti, MI 48198. All who knew and loved him are welcome to attend and honor a life so beautifully lived. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Relay for Life or The American Cancer Society organizations that are close to Keith’s heart.
