ADRIAN — The acoustic string duo Warren & Flick will perform a concert sponsored by the Adrian Symphony Orchestra on Wednesday, June 25, at 7:30 p.m. at the Holy Rosary Chapel on the Adrian Dominican Motherhouse campus. Tickets are $25. A reception will follow, hosted by the Adrian Dominican Sisters.

Known for blending bluegrass, Scottish, folk, and American roots music, Warren & Flick brings a sound that is both fresh and familiar. The duo consists of Jacob Warren on double bass and Grant Flick on violin, tenor guitar, and nyckelharpa. The two musicians met in 2015 at the Acoustic Music Seminar in Georgia, a collaborative program for young string players from around the world.

The group’s latest album, Waxwing, reflects their evolution as performers, offering a mix of original compositions and genre-crossing arrangements. Their collaboration combines Warren’s classical background with Flick’s influences in bluegrass and jazz. Their performance will take place inside the historic Holy Rosary Chapel on Siena Heights Drive, with doors opening shortly before the show begins.

The concert is open to the public. A post-concert reception will offer an opportunity to meet the artists and members of the Adrian Dominican community.

In addition to recording and performing, Warren & Flick lead workshops for young musicians to explore creativity and acoustic traditions. For more information about their work, please visit WarrenAndFlick.com.
