ADRIAN — The Lenawee County Parks Commission reviewed its mid-year financial performance on Monday, showing that revenue and expenses are both tracking nearly 30 percent of the annual parks budget.
The finance report was presented during the commission’s June 16 meeting and covered year-to-date activity through June 12. Commissioners voted to accept the report after a brief review and discussion.
Total revenue to date is $15,871.25, primarily driven by lease income and a $15,000 appropriation. Total expenses totaled $15,506.15, comprising staffing costs, basic maintenance, and supply purchases. These figures account for approximately 31 percent of the $51,393 annual budget, encompassing both income and expenditures.
The fund currently shows a net income of $365.10, with $103,522.87 in available cash.
The parks’ budget is expected to rise through the summer months as seasonal work continues. Further capital and maintenance expenses will be monitored in upcoming reports.
