
ADRIAN — Demonstrators across the state of Michigan participated in the “No Kings” protests on Sunday in 70 cities, including Adrian and Tecumseh, on Saturday.
The “No Kings” protests were scheduled to coincide with the President’s 79th birthday, as well as with a military parade in Washington, D.C., celebrating the U.S. Army’s 250th birthday.
According to Judith Hammerle of Lenawee Indivisible, at least 850 protesters attended the Adrian protest at Comstock Park, While 200* attended the Tecumseh protest at Adams Park.
In addition to the two protests opposing Trump, one smaller demonstration was held in support of the president on the lawn of the Old Courthouse in Adrian.
The Lenawee County Republican Party Promoted the event on their Facebook page as a dual celebration of Flag Day and Trump’s birthday.
