Charles Robert (Bob) Johnson of Adrian, Michigan entered his Heavenly Home on Friday, June 13, 2025, at age 93. He was born March 23, 1932, to Charles Ray and Mary E. (Cook) Johnson.
He served in the United States Army from 1953 to 1955. While on furlough, he married Lois Jane VanValkenburg in Jasper, Michigan on January 4, 1954. She preceded him in death on November 19, 2007.
Bob was a member of Jasper Bible Church and attended Bob Jones University of Christian Services and served his Lord in various capacities. He worked for many years at local dairy farms as a herdsman and assisted in crop planting and harvesting. He then worked 15 ½ years at Lenawee Tire.
On August 4, 2012, he was married to Mary Louise (Gould) Wireman in Belding, Michigan. She preceded him in death on October 21, 2016.
Bob was a fun loving man who delighted in making others laugh.
On August 29, 2019, he married Karen Sterling, and she preceded him in death on February 8, 2024.
Bob is survived by a brother, Norman LeRoy Johnson, and a half-brother, Carl R. (Jan) Collins. He was preceded in death by his wives, Lois, Mary, and Karen; his mother and stepfather, Mary and Amos Echler; and a stepsister, Charlene Kimble.
At Bob’s request, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at Jasper Bible Church beginning at 11:00 am with Rev. Bruce Jewett officiating. Burial of cremains will follow in Lenawee Hills Memorial Park, Adrian. Memorial visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
