Jim worked at Tecumseh Products for over 33 years before retiring. In his free time, Jim enjoyed riding his Harley, camping, fishing, golfing and playing pool. Jim also was an avid model railroader.
Jim is survived by his grandson, Ryan (Ben Hanson) Tefertiller; siblings, John (Nevin) Tipton, Helen Tipton and Bob (Sarah) Tipton. He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, parents, daughter, Cynthia Tipton, wife, Dixie Tipton, sisters, Betty Fox and Joan (John) Conklin.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, from 6-8:00 p.m. at Wagley Funeral Home, Adrian. Visitation will also be held on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 1:00 p.m. at Wagley Funeral Home, Adrian, with Rev. Larry Betz officiating. Burial to follow at Lenawee Hills Memorial Park, Adrian.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Catherine Cobb Safe House in Adrian.
