Jackie graduated from Southfield-Lathrup High School in 1973, the University of Detroit with an undergraduate degree in 1977, and the University of Michigan’s Schools of Hygiene and Dentistry in 1979 and 1985, respectively. Following graduation, Jackie married Dr. Richard “Mooch” Youngs of Adrian, Michigan on October 19, 1985. This year marks their 40th anniversary of marriage.
Jackie practiced dentistry together with her husband in Adrian, Michigan for 37 years. Her thoughtful approach to medicine made her colleagues and patients feel appreciated, seen, and deeply cared for in a manner that transcended dentistry. She ensured you always received the best possible care while remembering every detail about you and your family.
Jackie found tremendous joy and expressed her love through simple and powerful acts of kindness such as a thoughtful card, never-missed birthday well wishes, or platter of her decadent coffee cake. Her kindness and generosity to those around her continue to be felt.
She was predeceased by her father and mother, William and Olga Lilac, and her sister, Susan Lilac. She is survived by her husband, Richard “Mooch”; her two sons, Ian and Johnny; and her Jack Russell terrier, Jerome.
A memorial visitation service will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at the Wagley Funeral Home in Adrian, Michigan.
