Mark Douglas Swank Sr., age 65, of Adrian, died early Monday morning, June 2, 2025, while under the care of Hospice of Lenawee. Born November 5, 1959, in Tecumseh, Mark was the son of the late Ralph Swank and Agnes (Dean) Bailey.
Mark lived his early life near Jackson, and was a graduate of Columbia Central High School. He married the former Susan Kay Divert in December of 1985. Together they raised two children and enjoyed over 39 years as husband and wife. She survives.
Mark enjoyed tinkering in his garage, shooting pool, and being in the company of friends. He followed WWE wrestling and was an avid NASCAR fan, always rooting for driver Jimmie Johnson. Later in life he was blessed with grandchildren he loved to care for, and he enjoyed watching wildlife.
Surviving in addition to his wife, are his son, Mark (Amanda) Swank Jr. of Adrian; daughter, Ashley (Steven) Stemkowski of Adrian; siblings, Carol (Steve) Cook of Concord, MI, Craig Swank of Adrian, Christopher (Sherri) Swank of Eddyville, KY, and Cindy Maloney of Princeton, KY; and several grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family members.
The family will receive friends for a visitation at the Anderson-Marry Funeral Home in Adrian on Saturday, June 7, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until a funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Rev. George Roig will officiate. Cremation will follow the services.
Memorial contributions in honor of Mark can be made to Hospice of Lenawee or given to the family.
