Joanna Marie Hills, age 79, of Waldron, passed away on Friday, May 30, 2025, at the Henry Ford Hospice Home in Jackson.
She was born on July 6, 1945, in Hudson, to Clifton and Iris (Robison) Hills. Joanna graduated from Waldron High School in 1963, and later from Riggs Beauty School in Hillsdale. After working briefly in a salon, she began a long and dedicated career at Pioneer Transformer, where she remained until her retirement in 2000.
Joanna was a lifelong member of the Waldron First Church of Christ. Her faith and community were central to her life. She found joy in playing the organ and shopping and expressed her creativity through sewing, knitting, and crocheting.
To cherish her memory, Joanna leaves her sister, Janet Hills of Muskegon, and several cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation for Joanna will be held at Waldron First Church of Christ on Monday, June 2, 2025, from 10:00 am until the funeral begins at 11:00 am. Minister Jason Martin will officiate. Burial will follow in Waldron Cemetery.
