ADRIAN — Gleaner Life Insurance Society is inviting Lenawee County residents to participate in a community flag exchange on Wednesday, June 11, in honor of Flag Day.
The event will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the parking lot of the Gleaner Life building, where individuals can bring worn or tattered U.S. flags and exchange them for a new, all-weather, non-fade flag with embroidered stars. The offer is limited to one flag per household.
All collected flags will be respectfully retired by local veteran organizations in accordance with proper flag disposal procedures.
To reserve a replacement flag, residents are encouraged to register online at gleanerlife.org/flagexchange.
