avid Allen Wood, of Adrian, MI, passed away June 1, 2025, at the Hospice Home of Lenawee. David was born April 7, 1949, in Adrian to Dorothy Lowe and Walter Wood. David attended Madison School through 11th grade and then enlisted in the United States Army. He served 2 years in Germany and 2 years in Vietnam. David was awarded the Purple Heart after being combat wounded. Upon discharge from the Army David began his assembly work at Simplex in Adrian and then for and retired from Ford Motor Co. In his younger years David enjoyed stock cars and drag racing at Milan Speedway. He also had a tight knit group of friends, spending weekends playing euchre and hanging out with their families. In later years David enjoyed family time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He also enjoyed his home life with his dogs. He leaves behind his rottweiler, Abbey. David is survived by his daughter, Kasondra Robinson and her partner Steve. He is also survived by his son, Kevin Wood. David is survived by 5 grandsons and their families. Trevor Robinson and his partner Angel Ramirez, their children Marcus, Millena, Anastee, Samuel and Justice. Jacob Hooker and his children Brayden, Chase and Ryker. Kody Robinson and his partner Erin Marks. Samson and Lucas Wood. David is also survived by his brother, Troy Wood and his wife Kandy, his ex-wife Pam Wood, who held a special place in his heart, his good buddy Jim Progler and his special friend Debbie Victor. David is preceeded in death by his mother, Dorothy Lowe Porter, his father, Walter Wood and his stepmother, Jean. David will also be joining 2 dear brothers in heaven, Duaine and Dale Wood. Upon his wishes there will be no services or funeral. Cremation has been entrusted to Gary Purse of Purse Funeral Home in Adrian, MI. A burial and private graveside gathering will take place at a later date at Lenawee Hills Memorial Park in Adrian.
