LANSING — The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) announced the continuation of the Summer Electronic Benefit Program (EBT) to feed not only the stomachs, but also the minds of the children of Michigan.
Michigan’s Governor Whitmer says: Quote “Summer is here, but hunger isn’t going anywhere. I’m proud that we’re continuing our successful Summer EBT program so no child goes hungry between school years.”
The program is giving families with EBT benefits a $120 for the summer, or an average of $40 per month for June, July, and August. The amount will be added to Bridge cards automatically or sent on a card in the mail when you apply through the website at New M I Bridges Dot Michigan Dot Gov under the Special Programs icon.
