
Diane Lucille Beal, age 77, of Adrian, Michigan, passed away on Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at Toledo Hospital surrounded by the love and support of her family.
Diane was born on October 9, 1947, in Hudson, MI, the oldest child of Max and Thelma (Clark) Kirkingburg. She graduated from Camden Frontier High School and went on to attend Spring Arbor College earning a Bachelor of Science degree with a focus in geriatrics.
In Hillsdale County on July 14, 1967, Diane married her sweetheart, Norman Beal. Over the next 54 years, they raised a family of all boys, grew in their faith and made many lasting memories. Norman passed away in November 2020.
Diane’s warm and caring personality was a perfect fit for her career in long-term care. Over the years Diane worked at Hospice of Jackson and was the Director at Blissfield Place. She touched the lives of many individuals and their families when they needed reassurance or just a friendly smile. Diane lived her faith and shared it with others; she was also a member of Turning Point Church. Diane was an accomplished pianist and organist and played for many weddings and funerals; she was a piano teacher and shared her love of music with many students. Diane’s happiest moments were spent with her family and the title of grandma she greatly cherished.
She is survived by her sons, Todd Beal and Ryan (Kimberly) Beal, and grandsons, Wyatt and Parker Beal. Diane was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Norman; son, Brent, and brother, Karl Kirkingburg.
Visitation for Diane will take place on Friday, May 30, 2025, at Wagley Funeral Home from 3 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Bird Lake Wesleyan Church with Pastor Christy Shaw officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Ransom Twp. in Hillsdale County.
