Susan Jane Jacoby, age 93, of Tecumseh, MI went to be with her Lord on Friday, May 23, 2025, with her beloved Tom at her side. She was born on April 3, 1932 in Auburn, IN, a daughter of the late Hugh and Virginia (Atkinson) Sanders. On August 29, 1953, she married Thomas Albert Jacoby in Auburn, IN, and they have shared over 71 years together. She was a member of Tecumseh First Presbyterian Church for 69 years, living her faith each day. Susan loved God, her family, her friends and her community, and she was well-loved by them. She lived her life putting others first.

Taking care of her family was very important to her, and she provided a warm, loving, comfortable home for them. At Auburn High School, Susan was proud to have been chosen as best female athlete, playing softball well enough to be asked to try-out for the Fort Wayne Daisies professional women’s baseball club. She attended Purdue University, and was a lifelong Boilermaker, and she adopted the MSU Spartans after sending all three of her kids there. She had been a Tigers fan since she was a child, and loved watching sports of all kinds. Susan served on the Tecumseh School Board from 1981-1989, and was an enthusiastic encourager of students and educators. She and Tom spent summers at their Wamplers Lake cottage, welcoming family and friends to join them there. After retirement, they enjoyed spending winters in Jensen Beach, FL, where they made many new friends.

Along with her husband, Tom, Susan is survived by her three children, Pam (Rick) Bunch of Tecumseh, MI, Kent (Sherry) Jacoby of Lake Orion, MI and Eric (Kahrlly) Jacoby of Tecumseh, MI; five grandchildren, Kelly (Neil) O’Donnell, Keith (Heather) Jacoby, Dan (Shannon) Bunch, Craig (Sandra) Jacoby; Kristin (Richard) Walden; fourteen great-grandchildren, Tess and Kate O’Donnell, Ryan, Charlie, Connor, and Vivienne Bunch, Max, Cal, Audrey, Grant, Remy, and Madalynn Walden, and Hollis and Rylan Jacoby; two step-grandchildren, Amy and Anthony Gregory and five step great-grandchildren. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Joe Sanders.
