Bob was born on January 3, 1947, in Morenci, Michigan to LaVern and Molly Lorraine (Davis) Craig. He graduated from Morenci High School with the Class of 1965 and later proudly served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. Bob married Linda “Sue” Frederick on September 19, 1970, at the Sand Creek Community Church and she survives him.
Bob was employed at Harvey Aluminum which later became Martin Marietta and then later retired from Merillat Industries as a Cabinet Fabricator after 30 years of employment. He was an active member at Sand Creek Community Church. Bob served as President of the Sand Creek Little League baseball and softball programs for 10 years. In his free time, Bob enjoyed fishing, golfing and bowling with various leagues in the area. He always found time to support his grandchildren by attending their events and cheering them on.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Sue Craig; sons, Brian (Pam) Craig and Philip Craig; siblings, Teresa Priley, Orville Metcalf, Valerie Wells and Michelle Ely; grandchildren, Stephanie, Shaylan, Reed and Olivia; and great grandchild, Kaydin. He was preceded in death by his parents, stepfather, Orville Metcalf and sister Penny Sallows.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, from 3-7:00 p.m. at the Wagley Funeral Home, Adrian. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 29, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Wagley Funeral Home, Adrian, with Pastor Jamie Driskill officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Burial with military funeral honors to follow at Packard cemetery.
