
Mary Helen Pasley, age 64 years of Jackson, formerly of Manitou Beach and Addison area, passed away on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at Henry Ford Jackson Hospital in Jackson. She was born on April 6, 1961, in Addison, the daughter of William I. and Rosalie J. (Bryant) Votzke. She married Roy “Jim” Pasley on September 17, 1988 in Addison. He preceded her in death on April 29, 2022. Mary graduated from Addison High School in 1980. She lived most of her life in the Addison and Manitou Beach area working at several local restaurants as a waitress.
Mary loved to go 2nd hand shopping. She had a kind heart and was always helping others, especially children with special needs. Mary was the fun grandmother and completely adored her grandchildren whom she loved spending time with. She was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
Mary is survived by her three children, Michael (Stephanie) Votzke, Thomas Dochstader and Anthony (Sara) Pasley; 12 grandchildren, Marshall Pasley, Darrell Dochstader, Alex Pasley, Hannah Dochstader, Gabriel (Lexus) Dochstader, Aden Dillon, Lillian Votzke, Avaehya Petrie, Grace Votkze, Luke Pasley, Grasyn Dochstader, and Michael Leroy Votzke; a sister, Vicki Johnson and sister/cousin, Donna Rarick. She was preceded by her husband, granddaughter, Madison Dochstader, sister, Debbie Pike, four brothers, Alan Votzke, Edward Votzke, Stanley Burns and Dennis Burns.
Funeral Services for Mary will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at the Brown-Van Hemert Funeral Home in Addison with Pastor Ken Nichols officiating. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Addison. Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, from 2-4 P.M. and 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
