ADRIAN — Belle Isle Park just scored the winning touchdown.

A new poll of over 3,000 locals has named Detroit’s Belle Isle Park the best spot in Michigan for Memorial Day family games, topping the charts for field quality, amenities, and all-around energy.

From backyard football to marathon cornhole tournaments, Memorial Day is prime time for park-based sports. To find out which parks deliver the best experience, Gambling ‘N Go surveyed 3,056 Michigan residents, asking them to rate their favorite parks on real-life game-day factors: field quality, sports options, crowd size, and overall vibe.

Two parks rose to the top in Michigan:

Belle Isle Park – With baseball diamonds, tennis courts, open fields for frisbee and soccer, plus trails and waterfront views, Belle Isle blends competition with calm.

Holland State Park – Families love its beachside volleyball courts, big green spaces, and post-game dips in Lake Michigan.

These spots didn’t just win for their scenery — they earned top marks for being game-ready.

Michigan’s not the only state with standout parks. The national list includes Central Park in New York, Golden Gate Park in San Francisco, and Great Smoky Mountains National Park for the nature-inclined. But for Midwestern families looking to play hard and chill harder, Belle Isle is the new MVP.
