ADRIAN — Gerber Park is the Parks Committee’s main focus for 2025, with several upgrades underway.

At the May 19 meeting, commissioners approved a $20,625 electrical installation project for the north and south pavilions.

The project is part of the county’s 2025 Capital Improvement Plane, which also includes metal roofing, gravel work, and baseball diamond fence repairs, a state-funded musical playground, and a storywalk project — all at Gerber Park.

Maintenance Superintendent Rob Van Lindsey said the county picks one park each year to upgrade.

That was Maintenance Superintendent Rob Van Lindsey.

A potential boardwalk at Gerber Park was also discussed but is not yet budgeted. Van Lindsey said that is something they’ll evaluate in the future.
