ELIZABETH “BETTY” L. REGALADO, a beloved mother and friend, passed away on Monday, May 12, 2025, at the age of 89, surrounded by the memories of a life well-lived. Born on August 4, 1935, in Lyons, Ohio, Betty was the daughter of Peter and Elizabeth
(Miller) Brill, who instilled in her a deep sense of compassion and creativity.
Betty’s life was a masterpiece of love, laughter, and adventure. She married her beloved Eliseo San Miguel Regalado on May 12, 1951, in Adrian, and together they shared 64 years of marriage, filled with devotion, joy, and adventure.
After Eliseo’s passing in 2013, Betty continued to shine brightly, spreading love and joy to all those around her.
With a career spanning numerous years at Uarco in Adrian, Betty retired on August 4, 1997, but her creative spirit never retired. She delighted in crafts, knitting, painting, and jewelry-making, and her artistic talents brought joy to family and friends. Nature was her sanctuary, and the shores of Lake Michigan were her happy place, where she would often stroll, breathe in the fresh air, and find peace. Her precious chihuahua, Chloe, was her constant companion and brought her endless delight.
Betty’s greatest legacy is the love she shared with her family and friends. She is survived by her children, Dino (Rhonda) Regalado, Josie Regalado Willett and a Daughter-in-law Cindy Regalado; grandchildren, Kelly Brian Thompson (Shelly Sawdey, fiancée), Jamie (Greg) Zaroslinski, Kayla Regalado, Kristl (Bryant) Bradley, and Jacob Regalado, who were the lights of her life; and great-grandchildren, Sydney and Blake Zaroslinski, Tyler Thompson, Eli Regalado, and Kane Bradley, who brought her immense joy.
Her family remembers her strength, laughter and spirited soul.
Betty was preceded in death by her loving husband, Eliseo; her son, Robert Regalado; and her parents. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her loved ones and the countless lives she touched.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday June 22, 2025, from 1-4pm at Dino’s house 6171 Skinner Hwy, Manitou Beach, MI 49253, where friends and family will gather to honor Betty’s remarkable spirit and share stories of her love.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the local Humane Society, a cause close to Betty’s heart. Arrangements have been made with the guidance of the Brown-Van Hemert Funeral Home, Addison.
