David E. Wood, age 83, of Adrian, Michigan, passed away on Saturday, May 17, 2025, under the compassionate care of Ebeid Hospice Center.
Born on August 11, 1941, in Adrian to Robert J. E. and Doris A. (Hoag) Wood, Dave lived a life marked by dedication and service. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and later built a long-standing career at Merillat Industries, where he worked as a supervisor until his retirement in 2007. In his earlier years, Dave found joy in camping and golfing.
Dave is survived by his four children: Nancy Howard, Stephen (Nancy) Wood, Diana (Tim) Eichenauer, and Michael (Holly) Wood; brother, Dennis (Angie) Wood; sister, Cheryl Barker; sister-in-law, Karen Wood; ten grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Terry Wood and Phillip Wood; a grandson, Joshua Frayer; a brother-in-law, Tom Barker; and a sister-in-law, Carolyn Wood.
The family will receive friends for a visitation at the Anderson-Marry Funeral Home in Adrian on Saturday, May 24, 2025, from 11:00 am until the funeral service begins at 1:00 pm. Pastor Larry Betz will officiate. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Adrian.
