ADRIAN — From squad cars to window blinds, Lenawee County cleared a long list of routine business on May 13 — approving more than a dozen contracts and purchases during the latest Ways & Means Committee meeting.
The county signed off on a series of agreements and funding requests covering law enforcement, maintenance, tech infrastructure, and vehicle purchases. Most requests came with prior committee support or reflected standard annual renewals.
Law Enforcement Contracts were renewed or expanded with Madison Schools, Addison Schools and Village, Deerfield Village, Macon Township, and Hidden Lake Gardens. Most involved shared coverage models where the Sheriff’s Office provides part-time or school-based patrols.
The county finalized a lease update and $9,600 blind installation at the Human Services Building, hired Fishbeck for $28,850 to oversee systems at Maurice Spear Campus, approved two new Ford F-250s for the Drain Commission, and renewed its $11,750 cost allocation plan contract with Maximus.
The next wave of contract renewals and budget projections is expected later this summer as departments begin planning for 2026.
