ADRIAN — Police are seeking the public’s help after a homeowner near Adrian College caught someone trying to steal her car.
The attempted theft happened around 4 am on Thursday, May 15, near Canterbury and Argyle Drive. The suspect was reportedly in the middle of hot-wiring the vehicle when the homeowner confronted him — prompting him to flee the scene.
The suspect is described as a white male, roughly 13 to 15 years old, with a thin build and blonde or reddish hair. He was last seen wearing gloves, a black hoodie with white or grey repeating patterns. The suspect also sported a distinctive pair of red and black shoes.
Police say anyone with a security camera in the area should check their footage between 3:30 and 4:30 am for anything suspicious.
