ADRIAN — Adrian High School will roll out a new Army JROTC program in the 2026–27 school year — a move years in the making that opens the door for military leadership training and career exploration.

The program is officially approved and funded through a CTE grant from the LISD. It will be available not just to Adrian students, but to others across Lenawee County. Students can enroll in morning or afternoon blocks aligned with LISD Tech Center schedules.

Administrators say it’s more than uniforms and marching drills. The program will teach discipline, responsibility, and leadership — with pathways to military careers, college ROTC, or civilian jobs in law enforcement, logistics, and beyond.

Instructor certification and curriculum alignment are underway, and the district has secured a one-year ramp-up period to get everything in place.

It’s the latest addition to Adrian’s growing slate of career and technical education — and one that’s built to serve both students and regional demand.
