ADRIAN — From elementary classrooms to high school labs, Adrian Public Schools is ramping up hands-on learning and real-world exposure across every grade level.
At the K–5 level, a major donation from the Mouli* family is funding new STEM career labs. Early designs show media centers outfitted with adjacent lab spaces where students can explore science, engineering, and technology through interactive activities. The goal is to build curiosity early — and let it grow.
Meanwhile, local partnerships are reinforcing that effort. Adrian Steel continues to mentor students through its engineering mission program. The Civil Air Patrol’s ACE Lift-Off brings aerospace education directly into Prairie Elementary, culminating in real airport visits. Project RED, run through the ISD, connects students to agricultural careers and state-level history through field experiences.
At the secondary level, students are competing in events like You Be the Chemist and Math Olympics, while robotics classes blend formal instruction with creative experimentation.
It’s not just about science — it’s about shaping vision. From college visits to career fairs to classroom collaborations, the district is pushing students to ask bigger questions about who they are and what they could become.
