Alexandra Nicole Steele, beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at the age of 32.
Born on June 26, 1992, in Atlanta, Georgia, Alexandra was the cherished daughter of Harry “Dusty” Steele III and Karyn (Flowers) Steele. After graduating from Adrian High School in 2010, she pursued her passion for helping others by earning both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in social work from the University of Michigan. As a dedicated social worker, Alexandra focused on supporting children and young adults, leaving a lasting impact on countless lives.
Alexandra had a gift for connecting with people, offering kindness and understanding to everyone she met. Her love for animals, especially cats, was a true reflection of her compassionate spirit. She embraced life with a joyful spirit, always up for singing and dancing. Her artistic talent was undeniable, and she was known for creating beautiful and expressive works of art.
Above all else, Alexandra loved her family fiercely and unconditionally. Her greatest joy was being surrounded by those she loved, and she never missed an opportunity to share stories and memories about her sisters, parents, family and cherished friends. She spoke of them with pride and love to anyone who would listen, always eager to celebrate the people who meant the most to her. Alexandra’s warmth and unwavering devotion will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
She is survived by her father, Dusty (Lisa) Steele; her sisters, Ahri Steele, Sydney (Alex) Mawer, and Drake Lambright; and her beloved nephew and niece, Oliver and Vaeda. Alexandra was preceded in death by her mother, Karyn Hayno-Steele.
Private services will be held for Alexandra. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor her memory may make a donation to the Lenawee Humane Society, a cause close to her heart.
