Donna Florence Dziuba – Addison

DONNA FLORENCE DZIUBA, age 79 years of Addison, formerly of the Detroit area, passed away on Friday, May 9, 2025, at the Hospice Home of Mid Michigan in Lansing. She was born on November 20, 1945, in New Kensington, PA, the daughter of Paul Vincent and Frances Gertrude (Keilman) Spicher.

Donna married Stanley M. Dziuba on June 16, 1973, in Hamtramck. He survives. She worked at Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit Edison and EDS as an executive secretary. Donna was a hard worker and valuable talented employee. She enjoyed gardening, especially growing flowers as she was known in the neighborhood as the flower lady. Donna was beloved by her nieces, nephews as she welcomed them all into her loving home as she had a heart of Gold. Family and friends enjoyed her homemade pierogi’s, playing pinochle or simply sitting with her and having a conversation. Donna was a wonderful, supportive Godmother. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hudson.

Donna is survived by her husband, Stanley, a brother, Paul Vincent Spicher, Jr.; sister-in-law, Joyce Spicher, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Pat Spicher and Ted (Judy) Spicher, a sister, Mary Ellen (Russell) Elder; sister-in-law, Joyce Marie, and her furry children that passed over the Rainbow Bridge, Boston, Skipper, Romeo, Travis, and Kingston.

A Mass of Christian Burial Rite will be held at 12:00 P.M. at Sacred Heart Church on Thursday, May 15, 2025, With Father Peter Clark officiating. Cremation will follow with interment at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, MI at a later date. The family will receive friends at the Brown-Van Hemert Funeral Home in Addison on Wednesday from 4-7 P.M. with a Vigil Prayer Service at 6:30 P.M. and on Thursday at the church from 11:00 A.M. until time of service.
