Loutrille Lorene Howell, age 89, of Adrian Michigan, passed peacefully into the arms of her Lord and Savior on Sunday, May 11, 2025, at the Lenawee Medical Care Facility in Adrian, Michigan.
Loutrille was born on July 14, 1935, in Hamilton, Alabama to James and Addie Roberts. On June 16, 1956, Loutrille married the love of her life, Lloyd Howell. They were blessed with 64 years of love and happiness. Loutrille was a member of the Evangelical Mennonite Church where she served the Lord in many capacities. She loved God with all her heart and this was evident to all who knew her. Loutrille was employed at Faraday for two years before starting at Dura Convertible Systems as a Quality Control secretary for 36 years retiring in 2000. Loutrille had a passion for gardening and loved cooking for her family. She loved canning and tending her rose bushes that surrounded her and Lloyd’s home. Loutrille was an avid Alabama Crimson Tide fan and loved watching football games. She also loved playing bingo and other games with her dear friends at Lenawee Medical Care Facility where she had been a resident since December 2016. She loved all her nurses, aides, and staff and many dear friends she met there. Loutrille loved to travel to Panama City Beach, Florida with her family and always loved going back to Alabama to see family. Perhaps her greatest joy was her children and grandchildren and her little 14 year old Yorkie, Gidget, who passed in 2021.
Loutrille is survived by her children, Kathy (Audley) Craig, of Britton, Michigan, and her son, Roger Howell (Raeann), of Adrian, Michigan, sister, Jimmy Lou (Billy Paul) Nichols of Hackleburg, Alabama, and brother, Willard Roberts of Hamilton, Alabama; six grandchildren, Amanda (Chris) Stutzman, Austin (Elizabeth) Craig, Holly (Dave) Schneider, Heather Howell, Andrew (Chelsea) Howell, Landon (Alicia) Howell and 13 great grandchildren, Kellan, Kye, Keden, Kalla, Bronson, James, Jack, Carter, Claira, Micah, Brooks, Frankie and Sonny. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd, a son, Stephen, sister-in-law, Joyce. Visitation will take place from 2 to 6 p.m., on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at Wagley Funeral Home in Adrian, Michigan. On Saturday, May 17, 2025, a visitation will be held from noon to 1 p.m., at Marion County Funeral Home in Hamilton, Alabama. Funeral services there will begin at 1:00 p.m. with burial immediately following at the Antioch Cemetery.
